The performance of Yannick Flohé (DAV Aachen) and Hannah Meul (DAV Rheinland-Köln) was already remarkable in the semifinals, as they were the only ones to reach the top and thus attested to world-class route setting.

In the demanding men’s final route, peppered with BATS and brand new FAT BATS climbing holds, the young climber Yannick Nagel (DAV Mannheim) surprisingly prevailed with a rating of 43+.

In the women’s final, Hannah Meul lived up to her role as favorite and literally danced to just below the top.
